Gordon S. Fulcher Sabbatical Program | Glass Research | Corning

Working to strengthen the future of the U.S. glass industry, Corning invites one applicant from the academic community each year for a sabbatical at the company's Sullivan Park Research Center.

What is the Fulcher Sabbatical?

Named after the famed Corning glass scientist, the annual Gordon S. Fulcher Sabbatical program merges academic and industrial research to enable a brighter future for the glass industry.

The program offers professors the opportunity to engage closely with Corning scientists on research topics of mutual interest -- especially those related to fundamental science. One external researcher per year will be selected to participate in the program at Corning’s Sullivan Park research lab. The sabbatical can last from six to twelve months.
